Join a transformative one-day training at King's College London's Guy's campus hosted by Centric Community Research.
This training programme aims to boost your research skills and elevate community engagement practices. It is targeted at early career researchers working with participants in south London. Training is provided by Centric, a community research organisation developed, owned, and operated by the communities of Lambeth and Southwark. Centric combines academics and senior community researchers to build the capacity and capability of local communities to deliver research, whether this be within the team, or externally for other organisations.
In the first part of the training delegates will explore academic underpinning and theory, unraveling traditional research models, scrutinising their impact on inequalities, and dissecting assumptions, biases and blind spots. In the second part they will focus on research practice and engagement skills, allowing them to master community engagement principles, navigate local contexts, and adopt equitable research practices.
