Nurse-led research is vital to generate high-quality evidence to inform strategic investment in community healthcare and realise the ambitions of the NHS Long-term plan (2019) of integrated health and care systems. The Covid-19 pandemic amplified this priority with 41% increase in people dying at home during the pandemic.

A new Community Nursing Research community of practice has been established to form a unified voice to build and strengthen activity in community nurse-led research. The community of practice is co-convened by Professor Catherine Evans, Cicely Saunders Institute, Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care, at King’s, NIHR ARC South London, and Dr Ben Bowers, Primary Care Research Unit, University of Cambridge, NIHR ARC East of England.

At the event, three community nurse researchers will share their experiences, expertise and learning. Read more and register
