We are a group of maternity and women’s mental health researchers in south London. We are planning a new five-year programme of research designed to support maternal and infant wellbeing and women’s mental health.

Our studies include research on:

• Covid-19 - impact on how services are delivered now and in the future

• Impact of continuity of midwife care on outcomes for women and babies

• How services can improve experiences and outcomes for:

Black, Asian and minority ethnic women; women dealing with the impact of poverty, and other risk factors such as domestic abuse; and women with physical and mental health complications.

We would like to work with local women in south London, families and communities with an interest in this area to ensure our research is relevant. We want our research to answer questions that matter to you.

Group of women and a child

We need your help to understand how Covid-19 is impacting on women and their families, and to ensure that our health research plans are relevant to local needs and priorities.

At the moment, we can’t meet in person. Instead, we would like to invite you to join one of two virtual meetings (on Zoom), to hear about the issues that matter to you and your family.

When: Wednesday 10 June, 8-9pm; or Friday 12 June 2020, 1-2.30pm

• We want to hear your questions, concerns and ideas

• Please tell us about good networks and ways to share information

• You will get to meet and chat with our researchers: Abby, Hannah, Cristina, Jane, Lauren, Louise and Sergio

• Our researchers will tell you about the projects they are planning.
