The NEON Intervention is a web-application which provides access to a managed collection of real-life stories of mental health recovery for people affected by mental health problems. The collection currently contains more than 600 items characterised by researchers.

The NEON Intervention has been developed by the NEON (Narrative Experiences Online) study, which is examining whether online access to mental health recovery stories can help people affected by mental health problems. The NEON Intervention is currently being evaluated in three clinical trials.

In this seminar, Dr Stefan Rennick-Egglestone, the NEON study co-ordinator, will talk about the NEON Collection of recovery stories, the development of the NEON Intervention, and the NEON trials. The talk will consider critical items of work needed for the NEON Intervention to be provided on a sustainable basis in the future, and will invite a discussion of how digital interventions can become a sustainable part of health services, both nationally and internationally.
