Over 75 attendees representing 10 different clinical services took part, including representatives from the Health Innovation Network and Integrated Care Boards.

The seminar, organised by the King's Health Partners' Palliative Care Clinical Academic Group, facilitated a vibrant exchange of ideas and insights into new clinical innovations ready for evaluation with academic partners.

Service innovations included a project at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust designed to make patient and public facing materials on advanced care planning more relevant and accessible to diverse groups and a project at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust designed to improve routine care on inpatient wards where frailty is common.

Palliative care services emphasised the importance of generating evidence to optimise existing resources and provide the best possible palliative care for patients and families. Teams noted steady growth in allied health and social care staff integration, though small teams face workforce challenges like staff absence.

We've all learned new things about our services. There are some fantastic developments to be proud of across our partner organisations
