Funded by the NIHR using funds from the Department of Health and Social Care, this mixed-methods study is a collaboration between three universities: King’s College London, Newcastle University and University of Liverpool.

The study is led by Dr Ingrid Wolfe, King’s College London, and Professor Eileen Kaner, Newcastle University, and Professor David Taylor-Robinson, University of Liverpool.

How will the study be carried out?

ORACLE has two phases, the first focuses on improving understanding of risks, experiences, needs, and outcomes, and the current state of interventions. The second focuses on designing a new intervention to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.

Working with the National Children’s Bureau and King’s Policy Institute, ORACLE looks to inform policy in health, social care, education, and the criminal justice sectors.
